Living to Thrive, Not Just Survive — Jen
Jen went from surviving to thriving. When we first started working together, she was always last on her list and focused on her family, and everyone around her, at her own expense. Through my program, she built her House of Health and has made powerful changes across every sector of her life, truly becoming Type H: healthy, happy, healed, and hot. “I learned that it all starts with you. If I’m not happy on the inside, I will not be happy with the people I love the most.” She’s kinder to herself, takes the time to listen to her body, can identify early warning signs of anxiety and stress. She set goals that matter to her, right-sized to have the highest impact on her wellbeing. “My confidence has gone way up,” she says, “and the way I interact with others is much more gentle and less stressful both professionally and personally.”
Her inner circle has noticed a new Jen that has emerged. “I shine on the outside because I’m taking care of my mind and nurturing the mind with positive self-talk,” she says. “It has made a huge difference.”
The key areas where Jen has seen the biggest improvements are the following:
Regular exercise
Eating well
Slowing down - which has allowed her to be more organized with her thoughts, better on conf calls, taking the time for self-reflection, more honest with feelings
Increased Confidence
Authentic positivity
Using her voice and communication, saying how she feels
Calmer - less easily triggered
Listening to self/intuition
And most importantly getting through a difficult relationship break up and getting through this most challenging year
Working with me in my program has been one of her biggest personal growth experiences. “I can’t tell you how many years I’ve wanted to dedicate time for myself and to my well-being and mental health,” she says. “See what can be accomplished if you take the time to do what is important to you and take care of yourself.”
Jen has experienced transformative results: “Live to thrive not survive,” she says. “I learned the hard way. Be kind to yourself and put yourself first. Thank you Alanna from the bottom of my heart, I’m truly blessed to have met you and the gift you have to offer.”
Finally Able to Lose the Weight — Allison
For most of Allison’s life, she struggled with her weight. She had been on every diet and she could not establish a routine of regular exercise in her life or lose the weight and keep it off. When she reached out to me, she needed to get to the bottom of why it was such a struggle. Why was this always so hard? Why was she resisting exercise? “Alanna got me there,” says Allison. “I finally understand all that was behind the struggle.” We worked through different approaches to get at the emotional baggage that was behind it all and built her House of Health—healing old beliefs and patterns at the root of the issue. Once we built the strong foundation, we built the healthy practices on top, addressing resentment and boosting positivity, and her ability to feel hot, meaning loving herself and boosting her confidence. “Now, I’m on my journey to losing weight and exercising without resentment and frustration,” she says. “I’m down seven pounds and keeping it off, even during the holidays. Thank you, Alanna.”
confident & happy + lowered cholesterol by 91 points — cindy
“Today, I’m happy, confident, and grateful. But it wasn’t always that way,” says Cindy, who, like so many of us during the pandemic, was experiencing high levels of worry, stress, and anxiety when we started working together. It had made it hard to feel joy and made getting—and staying—healthy, building the right habits around diet and exercise, and sticking with them, difficult. In working together, she has transformed every aspect of her House of Health. She is healing the anxiety and worry patterns: “Now, I’m very aware when I’m stressed, and I know what to do about it,” she says. “I have the tools to manage my anxiety.” She has dramatically improved her overall health: Lowering her cholesterol by 91 points and sticking with a healthy diet and regular exercise. She has boosted her happiness: “I’m more engaged now, and I reach out to friends more and keep in touch with family,” she says. And she feels confident again: “I’m finally confident in my body and feel self-love—that was a big breakthrough. Thank you, Alanna.”
